Fatal Tragedy on Emerald Princess – Man killed his wife because she laughed at him

Princess cruise ship Emerald Princess was diverted from its regular Alaskan voyage on Tuesday after a terrible tragedy on board. According to the news media, a woman was murdered by her husband after a domestic dispute. The victim is 39-year old Kristy Manzanares from Utah who together with her husband and three children was on a 7-day Alaska voyage on board Emerald Princess.

Disney Cruise Line will add three new cruise ships by 2023

Disney Cruise Line announced its seventh cruise ship at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, the event promoted by the official Disney Fan Club. Previously Disney announced the construction of two more vessels joining the fleet in 2021 and 2023 and with the latest announcement the family oriented cruise line will almost double its fleet with the current 4 ships in operation. 

Celebrity Cruises Passengers searching for Italian Port in Dubrovnik

Yesterday July 14, a middle aged couple who were visiting Dubrovnik on a cruise ship approached local shop owner. They kindly asked him if he could help them locate a picturesque little bay with brightly painted houses because they couldn’t find it. They show him a brochure of Dubrovnik with Celebrity Cruises logo on it which they got onboard the ship. The man just smiled and said I know where this place is, but it is in Italy.

Body Found On a Beach in Italy May Be the Missing MSC Crew Member

A body believed to be the missing Brazilian crew member Simone Scheuer Sousa was found on a beach near Udine, Italy by the Port Captaincy. Italian media reports that the body was found on Sunday, July 2, and was in advanced stage of decomposition. According to investigation sources, the person had the same clothes Simone wore the night she disappeared. Now authorities are waiting for the DNA tests for final identification of the person.

In Memoriam: Cunard’s Hotel Manager John Duffy

Yesterday evening, as Cunard ocean liner Queen Elizabeth left the port of Liverpool, her horn sounded for 47 seconds in memory of 47 years that Hotel Director John Duffy was in service with Cunard Line. The news was shared on the social media by his colleague Carl Stephens, saying “RIP to the greatest Hotel Manager I've ever worked with, such an honor to have worked with you. Good night Mr. Duffy.”

4.000 Kg. Colombian Coffee Will Travel the Word on Pullmantur Cruises

Colombian coffee will now sail through the America, Europe, and the Caribbean thanks to Pullmantur and Juan Valdéz. The Spanish cruise line Pullmantur announced today signing of a strategic partnership with the Colombian coffee maker Juan Valdéz. The alliance with Juan Valdez consists of a two-year contract in which the company will be the exclusive supplier of coffee in all Pullmantur cruise ships which will be served in all venues onboard.
