Princess Cruises Sets World Record for Largest Pizza Party

Princess Cruises has set the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Pizza Party. Thousands of guests and crew members across the fleet participated in this event, consuming more than 60,000 slices of pizza. This celebration took place on Princess ships stationed across the world including Alaska, New England, the Caribbean, the British Isles, the Mediterranean, and Japan.

The pizza party also marked the launch of a new partnership with 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, now Princess Cruises' newest celebrity culinary partner.

Boy with Autism Missing After Disembarking Caribbean Princess in Germany

Police are searching for a 14-year-old autistic boy from the U.S. who went missing in the port of Warnemünde, Germany. The boy, Aydin Brown, was last seen disembarking the Caribbean Princess on July 4, shortly after the cruise ship docked at the port, and has since disappeared. Witnesses reported that the teenager disembarked around 7 a.m.


The police launched a public search after his disappearance was reported. Aydin Brown is approximately 175 cm tall and has long, dark hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, long dark trousers, and retro shoes.
 

Sun Princess Christened in Barcelona

Princess Cruises celebrated the naming of its new ship, the Sun Princess, today, April 23, 2024, in Barcelona, with the ship’s godmother, the award-winning British actress Hannah Waddingham. The naming ceremony of the largest and most luxurious love boat ever created took place in the ship’s theater with executives from Carnival Corporation, celebrities, and three cast members from the TV series "The Love Boat": Bernie Kopell - Dr. Adam Bricker, Ted Lange - Isaac Washington, and Jill Whelan - Vicki Stubing.

Ruby Princess Damaged After Hitting Pier 27 in San Francisco

The cruise ship Ruby Princess collided with Pier 27 in San Francisco during the early morning hours of Thursday, July 6, 2023. The incident occurred as the vessel was docking after completing a 10-night Alaska cruise. While damage to the ship's hull and the dock has been reported, no guests or crew members were injured, and operational systems remain unaffected.

Are There Limits on How Many Drinks You Get With Your Cruise Drink & Beverage Package?

The only cruise lines we know to have any limits on the number of drinks you can order are Carnival and Princess (which is owned by Carnival Corporation). They have a 15-drink limit on alcoholic beverages during the 24 hours from 6 am to 6 am. Non-alcoholic drinks aren't included in the 15-drink total.

Port Pilot Dies While Boarding the Diamond Princess

A port pilot died while boarding the cruise ship Diamond Princess as the vessel was approaching the port of Nagasaki on May 5th. The tragedy happened at around 5:30 am local time when the 69-year-old pilot fell into the sea while climbing the ladder to board the Diamond Princess from a pilot boat, which is a standard procedure before cruise ship enters port and a local pilot takes control of the navigation.
