MSC Cruises officially christened its newest flagship, MSC World America, last night at the brand new MSC Miami Cruise Terminal AA, the largest cruise terminal in the world.

Brazil plans to charter two cruise ships to serve as floating hotels during the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), set to take place in Belém this November.

MSC Cruises has officially announced the name of its fourth World Class vessel: MSC World Atlantic. The reveal came as the first steel was cut at Chantiers de l'Atlantique, marking the start of production for the highly anticipated ship. The MSC World America, the latest addition to MSC Cruises' fleet, will be officially delivered on March 27, 2025, at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.

Following the official handover in the morning, the MSC World America will depart the shipyard around 4:15 p.m., setting course for Miami, Florida, where it will be christened on April 9, 2025.
