MSC Cruises has officially announced the name of its fourth World Class vessel: MSC World Atlantic. The reveal came as the first steel was cut at Chantiers de l'Atlantique, marking the start of production for the highly anticipated ship. The event also coincided with the delivery of MSC World America and the coin ceremony for MSC World Asia, which is set to debut in late 2026.
The MSC World America, the latest addition to MSC Cruises' fleet, will be officially delivered on March 27, 2025, at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
This highly anticipated event will feature a full day of ceremonies, including celebrations for two additional MSC cruise ships under construction. Following the official handover in the morning, the MSC World America will depart the shipyard around 4:15 p.m., setting course for Miami, Florida, where it will be christened on April 9, 2025.
