MSC Euribia Takes On Crew in Malta Before Returning to Service

The MSC Euribia is now docked in Grand Harbour Valletta, where it is preparing to return to normal cruise operations after weeks of disruption.

Following its recent transit through the Suez Canal, the ship has shifted its focus to getting fully ready for passengers again. The stop in Malta is all about rebuilding the crew and restocking the ship before the summer season begins.

A large number of crew are joining the vessel in Valletta. These include workers across all departments such as housekeeping, galley, guest services, and technical teams. The goal is to bring the ship back to full staffing levels so it can operate at full capacity.

At the same time, the ship is taking on fresh supplies. Food, beverages, and hotel items are being loaded onboard, along with fuel needed for the upcoming voyages. These steps are essential to ensure everything is in place before guests arrive.

MSC Cruises said the ship is being prepared for full operations, with crew joining and supplies being brought onboard ahead of the restart.

The MSC Euribia had been stuck in the Persian Gulf for several weeks due to regional tensions, operating under limited conditions. Now that it has returned to the Mediterranean, the focus is on making sure the ship is fully ready.

Once work in Malta is complete, the ship will sail to Kiel. The first guests are expected to board on May 16. Another group of passengers will join on May 17 in Copenhagen.

The stop in Malta is the final step before MSC Euribia returns to regular cruise service in Northern Europe.
