Coast Guard Medevacs Crewmember from Carnival Triumph

U.S. Coast Guard executed medical evacuation of a Carnival Triumph crewmember on the Mississippi River near Venice, on Monday, November 6. Ship’s officers notified the Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders that a male crew member was experiencing symptoms of appendicitis aboard the cruise ship. The crew member was evacuated just hours after Carnival Triumph left New Orleans for a 5 Night Western Caribbean voyage. 

TUI Announces New Managing Director of Marella Cruises

TUI has appointed Christopher Hackney as Managing Director of Marella Cruises (formerly known as Thomson Cruises). Effective on December 1, 2017, Hackney will report to the Director of Cruise and Distribution, Helen Caron. Richard Sofer left the position of Managing Director last month to be the new Commercial Director of TUI UK and Ireland.
