Costa Cruises: The first cruise line to implement Smart Working

The Italian cruise company Costa Cruises, started a pilot program enabling their employees to work one day per week from their homes. The program named “Sm @ rt Working Costa - Moving Forward" will allow all 1300 office employees in Italy, and abroad opportunity to choose one day a week to work from home or at another suitable place of their choice.

Disney cruise ship hits pier at the port of Nassau

 The cruise ship Disney Dream suffered hull damage during a docking maneuver in the port of Nassau, Bahamas. The crash left a large dent on the back of the ship. Luckily there are no reports of injured passengers or crew during the accident. Disney Dream managed to dock at the pier and after inspection, the authorities concluded that the ship is seaworthy. Initial reports say that some repairs were made in Nassau and everything seems to be running as normal.

Adventure of the Seas Cancels September 30 Cruise For a Mercy Mission to the Caribbean

Royal Caribbean announced the Sept. 30 voyage of the cruise ship Adventure of the Seas, scheduled to depart from San Juan, is canceled. Instead, the vessel will depart on a mercy mission to bring supplies generators, medical aid and evacuate people from San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Croix.
