The search for a 40-year-old woman who went overboard off the cruise ship Celebrity Solstice in Alaska is over. The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the search efforts in Alaska’s Inside Passage on Tuesday after searching for the woman for about nine hours, Petty Officer Ali Blackburn said. USCG conducted a search by boat and a helicopter in the waters near Eldred Rock in Lynn Canal, 20 miles (30 kilometers) west of Juneau.

Carnival Cruise Line will pause some of the onboard events and limit the number of guests sailing on some ships due to crew shortages.
