Back in 1991 Carnival Cruise Line introduced its latest cruise ship Carnival Ecstasy. With the new ship came the new uniforms for the dining room waiters and assistant waiters. The dining room concept was each night with different dining theme and overall waiters had seven uniforms.Here are Carnival Ecstasy retro uniforms from the early 90s:

The cruise ship Carnival Vista made a wrong maneuver destroying small tourist pier of Marina del Nettuno, in Messina, Italy. The 130 thousand tons giant of the seas, was performing maneuver to exit the port when it generated violent wave destroying two piers of reinforced concrete. The owner of the pier claims that the damages to the port are estimated at $280 000.

Carnival Cruise Line has once again shown its charitable side by donating $250,000 to aid organizations in support of their efforts on behalf of victims of the recent floods in Louisiana. Carnival Cruise Line will donate $125,000 and its parent company Carnival Corporation is matching that amount through its Carnival Foundation charitable arm. Recipients include the Save the Children, American Red Cross, and Louisiana Association of United Ways.

A unique and creative work by the Carnival Magic crew members from the housekeeping department has created one of a kind people constructed from beach towels. The first ever “towel people” at sea are presented on the cruise ship Lido Deck relaxing on the sun.

Love life for the crew is unique just like the entire working and social environment at sea. Unlike on land when you have much more time for dating, crew romance is unique. A Youtube video was uploaded today showing teenage boy throwing golf club off a cruise ship. As you can see from the video bellow the boy with a medal on his chests first looks if someone is around, and then throws the golf club in the sea with a smile on his face. Polluting the ocean is serious issue, and all cruise lines during the master drill inform the passengers that throwing any items in the ocean is strictly forbidden following the International Maritime Organization convention. If caught in the act the passenger can be kicked off a cruise ship at the next port of call.

The cruise ship Carnival Paradise is host of the international competition for Universal Petite Pageant 2016. This unique beauty pageant organized by Hazely Corp set sail from Tampa on July 18, 2016, to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Designated for ladies 5’6 feet (167.5cm) or less, the main focus of this pageant is to appreciate the beauty of petite women by offering opportunities and special acknowledgment.

On January 6, 2017 the Coalition for Donald Trump Victory Cruise is scheduled to set sail from Miami to the Bahamas on the cruise ship Carnival Victory. The organizer of this event is Robert Jeter, an oil rig worker from Alaska, who volunteers as executive director of the Coalition for Trump. The Trump Victory Cruise is only $300 per person for a three-day trip to the Bahamas and fully refundable if Donald Trump loses, said Mr. Jeter when he started this initiative back in June. Robert Jeter was pretty sure Trump will win, and he was right.

Carnival Liberty returned to its homeport Galveston, Texas just hours after the cruise ship departed on Monday. The medical emergency alarm was sounded for a three-year-old girl who slipped through the stairs rail and fell two decks. The incident happened on deck 14 when the family was posing for a pictures by the rail when their toddler fell two decks bellow. The girl was quickly transferred to the ship medical center for assessment, and due to seriousness of the injury the decision was made by the ships doctor for emergency treatment on land.

I was at the Guest services Desk last night talking to a guest about Florence and overheard two guests removing their gratuities. I heard the GSA ask them both why and the answer “ personal reasons” baffled me. After they left I spoke with the guest services associate and took their cabin number and made a few calls.
