An 8-year-old girl died aboard Carnival Glory today after falling from two decks into ships interior atrium. According to Miami-Dade Police Department, the terrible tragedy happened at 8:15 a.m. while the vessel was docked at the Port of Miami.
Carnival Glory had just arrived from a 7 Nights Caribbean voyage and everyone was getting ready to disembark the ship when the girl fell.
City of Miami Fire Rescue personnel rushed the young girl in extremely critical condition, to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where she succumbed to her injuries.

Jennifer de la Cruz, V.P. Corporate Communications, for Carnival Cruise Lines released the following statement "The ship's medical team responded immediately and the child was transported to the ship's medical center. She was subsequently transferred via ambulance to a local hospital. The ship's command immediately contacted Miami-Dade Police Department which is on site. Our most heartfelt care and concern is with the family at this very difficult time."
It is still unclear how the young girl fell two deck bellow and Miami-Dade police with the help of Carnival Cruise Line are investigating this terrible tragedy.
