Carnival cruise line announced it is expanding the number of ships on which guests can order pizza by using the Hub app to order a pie. First introduced on Horizon and Vista, this extra service is now available on Carnival Conquest, Breeze, Dream, Victory, Magic, Conquest, Sensation, Glory, Ecstasy, and Liberty. The Pizza Anywhere delivery service is a good idea allowing guests to place an order on the app, and have it delivered anywhere on the ship.

According to Daniela Fahr, CEO of Connect, Germany's largest recruitment agency for cruise ships, the cruise industry will need some additional 100,000 new employees over the next three years. Therefore 15 major cruise lines and recruiting partners will present their job offerings at the "Cruise Jobs & Hotel Career Lounge" in Berlin on February 28, 2019.

Princess Cays, the popular tourist resort in the Bahamas owned by Princess Cruises was devastated by a massive fire last night, reports Eleuthera News. The fire started at around 10:00 pm in the generator house and quickly spread to the center of the resort.

The two decided to make a magic video onboard the cruise ship Carnival Pride, showing off their magical powers and fun failures in their cabins and crew mess.

A touching tribute was held in the port of Galveston for the crew member Charnel Rego who died suddenly onboard Carnival Freedom. With tears in their eyes, and wave of emotions, many crew and officers attended the ceremony in front of Carnival Freedom on January 5, 2019. The tribute has been marked with an emotional flower-laying ceremony into the sea by a group of Charnel’s closest friends.

Hundreds of friends, relatives, and colleagues expressed their heartfelt condolences to Darling family and Dermot Doyle for the sudden loss of Alicia Darling. Alicia passed away on January 5, 2019, on the cruise ship Carnival Horizon.

A staff member, part of Carnival Horizon Playlist Productions cast team has ended her life, reports Cruise Hive. According to this popular cruise website the tragic event on Horizon happened during the December 29, voyage.

Captain Adriano Binacchi and it’s amazing crew welcomed the professional tennis players onboard Carnival Spirit, marking the launch of the ATP Cup. This special event took place on January 7, while Carnival Spirit was docked in Sydney Harbour, Australia. The Captain and its crew shared some fun with tennis players Jamie Murray, Bruno Soares, Milos Raonic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Lucas Pouille, Diego Schwartzman and Nick Kyrgios during the Fast4 Tennis Launch held onboard.

Carnival Cruise Line’s ship Carnival Vista has passed the recent United States Public Health Inspection (USPH) conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The unannounced USPH inspection took place on December 16, 2018, at the ship’s homeport Galveston, Texas. Vista passed the inspection with a score of 89 points (just four points above the failing score of 85). The final score is not yet published on the CDC website however several crew members confirmed the news.

Carnival Cruise Line is honoring the company’s rich history by naming their latest groundbreaking vessel after their first cruise ship Mardi Gras launched in 1972.

The announcement was made at the end of Wednesday’s broadcast of “Wheel of Fortune” using the game show’s signature puzzle board.
