High Speed Internet on All NCL Ships by the End of July 2016

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that in the coming months will quadruple the current bandwidth in the entire fleet, in order to meet the growing expectations of the guests regarding the use of the Internet. This enhancement is part of a long-term strategic agreement with EMC to greatly improve the level of satisfaction in using the Internet on board all ships of the company. To support the new WiFi network, the ships will add  technological upgrades worth several million dollars before the end of June, in order to increase the performance and bandwidth.

MSC Cruises introduces new campaign "Not any cruise"

To support the second phase of the expansion of its fleet, MSC Cruises, implemented an investment plan large-scale, long-term, covering a horizon of more than ten years, from 2014 to 2026 to enter service boats the new generations Meraviglia Meraviglia Plus, Seaside and World Class.

Holland America Line employee from the cruise ship MS. Amsterdam is rising her voice about the extremely poor treatment crew received in Fort Lauderdale on April 30, 2016. She has sent all documentation that negatively cites both American Guard employees and also Officer Santana from CBP, regarding the incident involving security guards unprofessional behavior by throwing crew luggage and screaming at them.

New Guinness World Record on Cruise Ship

Campari Aperol brand is officially a Guinness world record holder after making the largest ever glass of Spritz onboard Costa Cruises ship, Costa Favolosa. The giant glass tall 1.5 meters and wide and 1.35 meters , positioned on the frame on the open deck of the cruise ship was filled with 1,000 liters of Aperol Spritz created strictly in line with the traditional recipe using 500 liters prosecco, 333 liters Aperol, 167 liters of soda water and 15 giant ice cubes. The previous record was set in Italy in 2010 with 537 liters in volume.

Carnival Valor Emerges from Dry Dock

In preparation for its new cruise season of year-round short cruises from Port Canaveral, the cruise ship Carnival Valor (2974 passengers) from Carnival Cruise Line undergone a major renovation involving both new innovations and popular venues on other cruise ships are added to the fleet, such as steakhouse, 600 new balcony cabins, Guy's Burger Joint, Red Frog Pub, SkyBox Sports Bar, Red Frog Rum Bar, Blue lguana Tequila Bar, Alchemy Bar and Cherry On Top. The new areas are added during the dry dock from April 23 until last Sunday, May 8th, 2016.

Italian Shop Owner Returns Lost Wallet to Royal Caribbean Passenger

Royal Caribbean passanger who lost his wallet in a shop in Catania, Italy is back in possession of his personal documents, money and credit cards thanks to a shop owner. After disembarking from the cruise ship Vision of the Seas on May 5, the U.S. tourist headed to Catania historic center where he lost his wallet in one of the shops he visited. Shop owner, Mario Russo found the wallet and immediately notified the State Police.

Carnival Pride Collides With Gangway in Baltimore

Carnival Pride collided with an elevated gangway while docking in Baltimore early this morning. The cruise ship suffered minor damage, however the gangway crushed from the impact, causing damage to three vehicles on the ground. The collision occurred when the elevated gangway was in process of connecting with the ship. Luckily the gangway was not in use at the time and no injuries were reported amoung passengers and crew.

Passengers jump off tour ship during fierce fire

36 tourists had to jump for their lives when a tour ship went up in flames in Ha Long Bay. The ship caught fire on Friday at around 11 a.m. when it was approaching Ha Long port after spending the previous night sailing. The tour ship, sank soon after the fire was put out. Couse of the fire was probably a gas leak in the kitchen. Local Media report that Two foreign passengers suffered minor injuries and all passengers made out to safety. The tourists on board are Franch, South Korean and British nationals.

Cruise ship passengers use Alaska homeless shelter to grab a free coffee

Tourists arriving on cruise ships in Ketchikan, Alaskan have been using a homeless shelter as a place to get free coffee and eat snacks without leaving a single dollar for donations say the volunteers at First City Homeless Services. Evelyn Erbele, chairwoman of this organization says because it's a shelter, they don't turn anyone away. Some of the stores are not open early often cruise ship passengers stop by looking for a restroom, and some decide to stay longer and watch TV.
