Crew Member Arrested for Sexual Assault in Livorno

Cruise ship crew member was arrested in Livorno, Italy on charges of sexual assault of a seven-year old child. According to the Italian News Media, the incident happened on Thursday, May 26 in the center near via Grande. A woman witnessing the incident said that the man approached a group of children, and moved towards a little girl and started to rub on her for a few seconds.

Italian Coast Guard Medevac Celebrity Constellation Passenger

Italian Coast Guard Medevac US passenger from Celebrity Constellation, while the cruise ship was sailing twenty nautical miles from Cape Colonna. The ship captain concerned about the poor health of the passenger, suffering from cerebral stroke, launched a distress call for immediate medical evacuation. The Medevac was performed with the use of rescue CP873 patrol boat from the port of Crotone, Italy.   

Celebrity Millennium Crew Member Deported for Physical Assault

Alaska Native News reports that a Celebrity Millennium crew member was escorted off the ship by US customs officials. The Mexican crew member will be deported back home according to the Alaska State Troopers report. The official report states that investigation followed after a call at 10:30 AM on Wednesday when Ketchikan police with the assistance of U.S. Customs, escorted the crew member off the cruise ship for assault on two fellow crew members.

Cruise passengers witness feeding frenzy: sharks eat dead whale

Video released by a small cruise company in Australia went viral with 2,5 million views in four days. Passengers on a cruise in Shark Bay, Australia, witnessed a feeding frenzy of more than 70 tiger sharks devouring a dead whale in the middle of the crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean. In the drone video you can see sharks swimming in a circle around a 30 tons humpback whale, eat it slowly. Two small boats carrying fifteen passengers, are around the whale watching what is happening.

Costa Fascinosa Passenger Dies in Helicopter Medevac

A French passenger sailing onboard Costa Fascinosa cruise ship died yesterday morning during an emergency evacuation by a Sea Rescue helicopter. The 77 year-old passenger suffered heart attack when the ship was about 50 miles from Mallorca, Spain. The tragic event happened when the man danced with his wife on the ship at around eleven o'clock at night. The onboard medical team quickly responded to the scene by providing emergency treatment. Spanish coastguard was alerted to carry out urgent transfer to the nearest hospital, and a helicopter was mobilized.

This summer will be full of important sporting events with the upcoming European Football Championship from June 10 to July 10 in France and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro from August 5 to 21. In order to bring this sporting events the cruise lines have developed a series of programs and activities on board to allow sport fans to follow all the soccer matches and the Olympic events. Thomson Majesty Passenger Mugged in Naples

Thomson Majesty senior passenger was mugged on Saturday while the cruise ship was docked in the Port of Naples, Italy. The 72 year-old British tourist was on a daily tour at Via Pasquale Scura when she was approached by a man on scooter, who snatched two gold chains of her neck. Another tourist tried to help the woman and stop the robbery however he was physically assaulted by the robber. The police immediately arrived on the scene, and seized a motorcycle helmet, lost by the theft in the hectic period after the robbery.

Search Called Off for Carnival Liberty Passenger Samantha Broberg

The US Coast Guard suspended the search for a passenger who went overboard from Carnival Liberty cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico a day after having set sail from Galveston, Texas. In a statement released on Monday, the Coast Guard said the search for Samantha Broberg, 33, was suspended on Sunday night after the teams searched the area for more than 20 hours, covering more than 11,130 square kilometers. The cruise company Carnival Cruise Line said that ship security video shows Samantha Broberg falling overboard at 2 am on Friday.

A 33-year-old woman identified as Samantha Broberg is missing from a Carnival Liberty cruise ship. The ships crew advised guests to return to their staterooms in order to conduct detail search all over Carnival Liberty. The onboard search teams didn’t found Samantha Broberg and Carnival Liberty notified U.S. Coast Guard about the missing person. According to a passenger onboard , the announcement was made that the missing woman did indeed fall overboard, according to the ships cameras.
