Fire Aboard Icon of the Seas

A fire broke out today, June 25th, aboard the world's largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, while the vessel was docked at the port of Costa Maya, Mexico. According to our source, a Bravo code was announced on the ship's PA system, locating the fire in the engine room. Firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene to handle the situation, and the crew responded to the emergency instructions.

Voyager of the Seas safely made it back to the port of Galveston on Saturday after sailing through a storm in the Gulf of Mexico on January 26. The Royal Caribbean International cruise ship was on its way back to its home port when the vessel encountered a storm on the last day of the 5-day Western Caribbean cruise. Passengers on board shared details and footage of the destruction caused by the storm on social media.

Royal Caribbean Beach Club To Open in Mexico

Royal Caribbean International is introducing a new beach club experience, expanding its destination offerings with the Royal Beach Club Cozumel in Mexico, scheduled to open in 2026. The announcement of this new addition was made on the western coast of Cozumel island by Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty, alongside Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley, Quintana Roo's Secretary of Tourism, Bernardo Cueto Riestra, and Cozumel's Mayor, Juanita Alonso.
