Royal Caribbean: Embarkation Quarantine Eliminated, Free Flow Shore Leave, New ROYAL’s To Join Ships

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Royal Caribbean International announced that the entire fleet is back in service! This is thanks to amazing and talented crew members. The final cruise ship to restart, Rhapsody of the Seas has rounded out fleet after her dry dock with her first revenue sailing on May 23.

The good news keeps on coming as the crew experience is a central focus of the shipboard operations. After a successful pilot, sign-on quarantine is discontinued for the crew who are fully vaccinated with WHO-approved vaccines.

Also, the cap for shore leave is removed, so unlimited free flow shore leave is back! These improvements continue to be great milestones that reflect the normalizing of the operations, while always remaining responsible and health-focused in every decision we make.

In the following months, thousands of new crew will join the Royal Caribbean ships after the company completed a successful recruitment world tour in April.

“We have been sharing updates with you on our organization-wide

recruitment efforts and the great strides we are making in growing our Royal family. We are expecting thousands of new members to join our ships over the coming months, which means help is on the way. Once they’re on your ship, we want these new team members to feel valued, welcomed, and receive the guidance and training they need to succeed. We call them our New ROYALs. Learn more about our New ROYALs in this edition, and how you can show them The ROYAL Way.” was shared from the Head of operations.

“The challenges we have faced over the last two years have taught us that determination, resilience and GRIT will get us back at sea. And we’ve achieved just that – here we are with the best team in the world, delivering the best vacations in a healthy way on the most beautiful and innovative ships. We THANK YOU for living The ROYAL Way, and we are so proud and grateful for the contributions that each of you makes every day,” the crew letter reads.
