Cruise Ships To Return To Ensenada After Unrest of Cartel Violence Ease

After canceling arrivals to Ensenada, due to safety concerns, the cruise ships are returning to this popular Mexican cruise destination, said Mayor Armando Ayala Robles.

Carnival Cruise Lines has confirmed arrivals to Ensenada with two of its ships, Carnival Radiance and Carnival Miracle, and complete its slate of scheduled arrivals in the coming months, said Robles.

Royal Caribbean has released its health protocols for cruise ships sailing from Australia during the upcoming cruise season. These include government mandates and day-of-boarding requirements.

Royal Caribbean has warned that these protocols can likely change between now and when the day of the actual sailing.

Royal Caribbean Group is looking to adopt SpaceX’s next-generation high-speed satellite internet system Starlink onboard its ships. Starlink is a high-speed broadband Internet service from SpaceX that connects to the constellation Low Earth Orbit (LEO). SpaceX intends to provide affordable internet with sustainable speeds anywhere and anywhere in the world.

BTM and Royal Caribbean Group host national job fair in Barbados

Barbados Tourism Marketing in partnership with the Royal Caribbean Group hosted a three-day national recruitment drive in Barbados. The job fair was organized as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both sides in April at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami; its purpose is to create opportunities for high-quality employment in the local tourism industry of Barbados.

“Stop Cruises” activists block Marseille port entrance, Wonder of the Seas and MSC Orchestra arrival delayed 2 hours

This morning about 20 activists from the “Stop Cruises” movement attempted to block the entrance of the Wonder of the Seas and MSC Orchestra at the port of Marseille in France. The activists on inflatable canoes blocked the cruise ships from entering the port for two hours.

Brawl breaks out on Navigator of the Seas

A brawl has broken out on the Royal Caribbean ship Navigator of the Seas during the last week’s cruise. The fight between dozen of young passengers started at the Café Promenade on Deck 5. A video of the brawl shows a chaotic scene as people punch and push each other, while several security officers try to break up the fight. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like anyone sustained serious injuries from the incident.
