Romanian Pop Star on Harmony of the Seas

The famous Romanian pop singer Loredana Groza, spent a short holiday with her daughter Elena, on the largest cruise ship in the world Harmony of the Seas. The artist has celebrated her birthday on board as a VIP guest on a short three days cruise departing from Barcelona, Spain. The star and her daughter Elena were enjoying promenade deck with dozens of shops and restaurants, Bionic Bar where cocktails are made and served by robots, a casino, discos, jazz clubs and karaoke and an outdoor amusement park.

Staff Member is Suing Royal Caribbean for $1 Million

Former staff member working as a musician on Royal Caribbean is suing the cruise line for negligence led to an unsafe work environment aboard, that caused injuries to the plaintiff. SE Texas Record reports that the victim, Gerald Dahir of Harbor City, California, filed a lawsuit in Galveston Southern District Court against Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., for violation of the Jones Act. 

Anthem of the Seas battles 100 mph winds by the remnants of Hermine

The Royal Caribbean cruise ship Anthem of the Seas, which left from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, toward Bermuda faced high winds from the Tropical Storm Hermine. The rough conditions worsened early Sunday when the cruise ship started swaying. According to one passenger from New Jersey the waves were up to 40 feet with wind gusts up to 100 knots. On-board photo shows the current screen showing 98 knots wind.

Woman Falls off Mariner of the Seas Rescued after 38 Hours at Sea

A Chinese woman sailing on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Mariner of the Seas has been rescued by a fishing vessel after she fell overboard. The accident happened on August 10, when the ship was returning back to its homeport in Shanghai. First to notice her disappearance was her family who informed the ships officers. All crew were engaged in an on board search operation, but they could not find the 32 year-old woman. Ship’s captain notified the Coast Guard, and search and rescue operation was initiated.

Boy in critical condition after nearly drowns on Anthem of the Seas

An 8-year-old boy is in critical condition after nearly drowning on Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas. The terrible accident happened on Thursday, just two hours after the cruise ship departed from its homeport Bayonne, N.J. The boy fell into a pool and remained in the water for eight minutes before being discovered by crew members. Ships medical staff quickly responded to the scene and performed CPR establishing a pulse.

Royal Caribbean to Build New World Class Cruise Terminal in Miami

Royal Caribbean announced plans for their ultra-modern new cruise terminal in Miami, Florida capable of handling the world’s largest cruise ships. The new cruise terminal will be a striking addition to Port of Miami and will serve as homeport to Royal Caribbean International ships, including the 5,400-passenger Oasis-class ships. After the global competition held between five of the world's leading architectural firms, Royal Caribbean has selected the company Broadway Malyan to design the new terminal.
