In a year-end communication sent to employees, the cruise line extended warm holiday wishes to crew both onboard and at home, acknowledging the reality that many are spending the festive season away from their families while working at sea. The message emphasized the importance of the “onboard family,” a term frequently used within the company to describe the close bonds formed among crew members.
The company also highlighted what it described as a “remarkable” year, pointing to several major milestones achieved in 2025. Among them was the debut of Star of the Seas, one of the most anticipated additions to the Royal Caribbean fleet, as well as the opening of the cruise line’s first Royal Beach Club℠, a new destination concept designed to expand the brand’s shoreside offerings.
Royal Caribbean linked these achievements directly to its workforce, stating that industry recognition, including multiple Travel Weekly awards, reflects the crew’s commitment to delivering service in line with the company’s “ROYAL Way” culture. The message underscored that the accolades and innovations were made possible by the day-to-day efforts of crew members across all departments.
As part of the holiday initiative, the cruise line encouraged crew to take part in festive onboard activities and announced complimentary Wi-Fi and WhatsApp Voice services to help employees stay connected with loved ones during the holidays. Details, the company noted, would be shared through onboard digital signage.
