Carnival Cruise Line cancels 8 voyages of the cruise ship Mardi Gras

Carnival Cruise Line latest XL-class cruise ship Mardi Gras delivery will be delayed, the cruise company announced today. The news was announced after officials at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland informed Carnival that there is a delay in the production schedule.  Instead of the originally planned schedule in August, the vessel will be delivered in late October 2020.

Carnival flags put at half-mast in honor of Captain Antonio Marchetti

Carnival Cruise Line family mourns the Loss of a great captain amazing person, and above all a good man. Captain Antonio Marchetti, one of Carnival’s longest-serving captains since 1988, passed away on November 6, 2019.

Flags were flown at half-mast on all Carnival ships for one day as a sign of respect and final salute to a great captain who will be dearly missed by all of us.
