Dr. Lucille O’Neal.  The mother of the famous former NBA player and current Chief Fun Officer, Shaquille O’Neal is the “perfect choice”, said Christine Duffy. The naming ceremony will take place in Long Beach, California, on 13th of December, and besides the role of Godmother, Dr.

Norwegian Cruise Line announced changes of the COVID-19 testing policy for guests boarding cruise ships from the U.S. and non-U.S. ports. Starting January 17, 2022, guests will be allowed to board with one negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test result. 

MSC Cruises latest flagship, MSC Seashore, is getting ready for the grand naming ceremony which will be held at the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve on November 18. The giant new cruise ship has arrived at the new homebase in Miami on Sunday, after crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

Costa Cruises announced it will change the ships sailing for the upcoming Brazilian Season. The company said that Costa Smeralda will be replaced with Costa Diadema. The LNG-powered cruise ship Costa Smeralda, which was due to begin seven-night cruises to Santos, Salvador and Ilhéus, will now sail Mediterranean itineraries.

Some important changes in the management were announced this week by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. Oceania Cruises co-founder, president and CEO Bob Binder, is transiting to another role, vice chairman of NCLH. To be more specific, he will now report to Frank Del Rio, president and CEO of NCLH. 

Carnival Cruise Line resumes the cruises from Tampa with Carnival Pride as its first ship since the pandemic shut down. Carnival Paradise will follow as a second ship in this port in March 2022.

A celebration of adventure and joy took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as Odyssey of the Seas was officially named by the first Bahamian Godmother and inspiring athlete, Erin Brown. The Caribbean-inspired event culminated in the moment Odyssey’s Godmother Erin Brown, the first Bahamian paratriathlete to compete in the Paralympic Games qualifiers, named the ship.

MSC Cruises continues to be Chelsea Football Club’s official cruise partner for three more years, until June 2024. The brand awareness amongst the Chelsea Football Club fans, whose number is no less than 2.6m, is increasing these three years, as a result of this partnership, according to the statistics with only 14% of fans familiar with the cruise line in the beginning, growing up to 85% at the end of the first term of the agreement.
