The Norwegian Joy has completed a 3-week dry dock in Damen Shiprepair in Rotterdam boasting new venues and a fresh new look. The ship received enhancements all over including new Mandara Spa wellness area and The Heaven suite area improvements, as well as updated design and decor in many public spaces.

Among the upgrades is the introduction of a new Mandara Spa wellness area, offering guests a sanctuary of relaxation and rejuvenation. The addition of the Thermal Suite, the largest among the Breakaway-Plus class ships, marks a significant milestone in the ship's evolution. In response to guest feedback and to provide more accommodation choices, the ship has added 24 new balcony staterooms, utilizing space from the Observation Lounge. Additionally, 40 new spa balcony staterooms have been introduced, offering direct access to the Mandara Spa and Thermal Suite, further enhancing the onboard relaxation experience. The expansion of The Haven by Norwegian Premier Owner's Suites to include three-bedroom options caters to travelers seeking luxurious amenities and personalized service.

For those seeking exclusive adult-oriented experiences, the Vibe Beach Club has been expanded, taking over the existing Laser Tag Arena. With a layout reminiscent of its counterparts on Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Bliss, the enhanced Vibe Beach Club now features new private luxe cabanas, promising guests a premium retreat experience.

Following the completion of its dry dock renovations, the Norwegian Joy welcomed its first guests on board on February 13, 2024. Embarking on a ten-day voyage across the Atlantic from Southampton to Miami. The ship is set to embark on six Caribbean cruises until the end of March 2024, when will reposition to its new homeport New York City for the 2024 summer season.
