Severe storm is forming in the East Coast, forcing Anthem of the Seas to return back to Cape Liberty ahead of the schedule. Royal Caribbean has made decision to cancel the scheduled stops in Barbados and St. Kitts, and head back to avoid the storm releasing the following announcement:

“Anthem of the Seas will head back to Cape Liberty immediately to avoid a severe storm & provide guests with a comfortable journey back home.

We've been closely watching a large storm off the coast of Cape Hatteras. We want to be extra cautious when it comes to weather in the area.”

Anthem of the Seas departed from Cape Liberty, on February 21, for a 13-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. The ship was scheduled to arrive in Cape Liberty on March 4, however due to current developments the ship will return two days earlier on March 2.

After Anthem of the Seas close encounter with the severe storm on February 7, the company announced it would strengthen its storm policy in order to provide more safe and comfortable vacation for the passengers.
