Meet the Start-Up Crew of Mein Schiff Relax

Submitted by kgnadmin on

TUI Cruises just dropped their newest cruise ship, Mein Schiff Relax, and while the official christening is still on the horizon, the ship has already set sail on its maiden voyage! But let’s be real—what’s a brand-new cruise ship without a great crew to bring it to life?

TUI Cruises' recruiting partner, Sea Chefs, is giving us a sneak peek into the start-up crew—the amazing squad responsible for getting Mein Schiff Relax up and running. And trust us, these crew members aren’t just here to clock in; they’re making cruise history.

Here’s what these four crew had to say about life aboard Mein Schiff Relax so far:

Laurien – The Creative Artist
“The time spent at the shipyard is simply unforgettable. You see the ship developing every day, coming to life bit by bit. And the bond with the crew? Next level. CREW LOVE IS TRUE LOVE!"

Sarah – The Travel Advisor
“For a commissioning, colleagues from all departments come together, most of whom already know each other from previous contracts. It’s like a giant family reunion, bringing the ship to life. ONE CREW, ONE FAMILY!"

André – The Excursion Expert
“It’s unreal to work on a new build of this size. Everyone—from crew members to shipyard employees—has one mission: Get the ship ready for our first guests. And we did just that!"

Ferris – The Shop Assistant
"I'm beyond excited to be part of the opening team. This marks a new chapter, and I can’t wait to help create a relaxing and unforgettable experience for our guests."

Under the command of Captain Thomas Roth and Captain Todd Burgman, 1,100 Mein Schiff Relax crew are already making this InTUItion Class ship their home. From mastering the latest tech to unpacking boxes (because yes, even crew members have to move in!), this team is making sure every detail is flawless before the official christening.
