The Liberty Mess on NCL Breakaway Class ships is the main dining facility where all shipboard employees eat together including crew, staff, and officers. There is only one self-service restaurant for the employees which Norwegian Cruise Line implemented first with the launching of the Norwegian Breakaway back in 2013. All NCL ships made since then have only one dining facility. This concept has been implemented on many newly launched ships from other cruise lines such as AIDA Cruises Hyperion Class Ships, and Celebrity Cruises Edge Class ships. Here you can find a wide variety to choose from including salad bar, hotline, deserts, cold cuts, juices, coffee, milk, etc.
