Four Cruise Vacationers Die in the Fort Lauderdale airport shooting

Holiday cruise turned into nightmare for thousands of cruise ship passengers at Ft. Lauderdale airport after a gunman started shooting at people in the Terminal 2 luggage claim area. The 26-year-old former soldier serving in Iraq, Esteban Santiago, killed 5 and wounded 6 people. Authorities have not released the names of the victims, however news media are reporting that at least four of the five people killed were vacationers heading for a Caribbean cruise holiday.

Celebrity Solstice Passengers involved in Two Fatal Accidents

Two tragedies have struck a group of Celebrity Solstice cruise passengers in a time period of 50 minutes in Tauranga, New Zealand. The first tragedy happened at around 11.25am local time, when a tour bus carrying group of Solstice passengers was returning from an organized trip to Hobbiton, when crashed in a car. The accident happened on a sweeping, deep bend on State Highway 29, east of Te Poi. Unfortunately the car driver died in the crash, however the occupants of the bus were unharmed.

1 Crew Member Dead 2 Seriously Injured on Harmony of the Seas

Just over three months after its inaugural cruise, Harmony of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world, is a scene of a serious accident. According to information provided by the French newspaper "La Provence", a lifeboat with five crew members inside detached off deck 5 crashing into the sea.  One crew member has been killed and two other crew are critically injured after a lifeboat fell while the ship conducted lifeboat drill in the French port of Marseille on Tuesday, September 13.

2nd Crew Member Dies in Hospital after NCL Breakaway Accident

After one month intensive care in Jackson Memorial Hospital, Ben Buenaventura died from the injuries sustained in the tragic incident when a Norwegian Breakaway lifeboat fell into the water. The incident happened on Jul 20, 2016, during a weekly lifeboat drill while the ship was docked in Kings Wharf, Bermuda. Four crew members were in the lifeboat when line snapped and one crew member, 41-year old, Diogenes Carpio died immediately.

Crew member airlifted to hospital following heart attack on cruise ship

Last night a 46-year-old Indonesian crew member was airlifted by the Italian Coast Guard from the cruise ship Sovereign operated by Pullmantur. The crew member suffering from heart attack was first transferred to the ships medical facility. After assessing the condition the ships doctor notified the master of the vessel who contacted the Coast Guard. The crew member was airlifted by the Coast Guard 70 miles from the coast of Civitavecchia. After receiving the call, Coast Guard personnel immediately activated the procedures for assistance in emergency situations at sea.
