Costa Cruise’s latest LNG-powered XL-class ship Costa Toscana, headed out to sea trials on Monday, Finland-based shipbuilder Meyer Turku said. During the sea trials the ship’s operations and equipment will be tested for a little over a week, after returning back to the shipyard, the shipyard added. Assisted by the tugs, the ship left Meyer Turku while the event was witnessed by a large number of people gathered on nearby shores.

According to our source, Costa Firenze arrived today in Savona to vaccinate 1040 crew members currently onboard the ship. This month three cruise ships are scheduled for regular stops at the port of Venice. The return of the cruise liners after a long 17 months ban saw the first ship MSC Orchestra sailing to the lagoon to pick-up about 650 passengers on Saturday, June 5.
