This Sunday afternoon, while sailing from Tampa to Roatan, Honduras, the Carnival cruise ship Carnival Paradise was involved in a rescue operation. The ship's bridge team noticed a small vessel carrying 27 Cuban nationals who were signaling for help, prompting them to turn the ship around to assist.

Upon reaching the stranded individuals, the Carnival Paradise crew brought them aboard. The rescued people were provided with food and medical attention from the ship's medical team. The U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West, along with officials in Roatan, were informed about the rescue.

Carnival Paradise, which is on a 5-day cruise around the Western Caribbean, is set to arrive in Honduras on Monday. The voyage includes stops at Mahogany Bay on Roatan Island and Cozumel, Mexico, before returning to Tampa, Florida.
