Carnival Cruise Line has completed the rollout of a new casino management system across all 29 ships in its fleet, bringing enhanced rewards, personalized offers, and cashless gaming options to millions of cruise guests.
The technology, developed by Las Vegas-based gaming company Konami Gaming, is known as Synkros and operates under the name SURF, which stands for "Serving Up Rewards and Fun." The system has already been installed aboard ships operated by Carnival's sister brand, Holland America Line.
The upgrade allows casino players to receive rewards and promotions tailored to their gaming habits. Guests can also take advantage of cashless wagering features that connect directly with their onboard cruise accounts, making it easier to play without carrying cash.
According to Carnival Corporation, the new platform powers thousands of slot machines and gaming devices across the fleets of Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America Line. In addition to personalized rewards, the system introduces bonus opportunities and virtual prize drawings designed to enhance the onboard casino experience.
"We're obsessed with giving guests the best time possible with great service, standout rewards and innovation that raises the fun factor even higher," said Marty Goldman, Senior Vice President of Global Gaming at Carnival Corporation. He added that the company plans to continue expanding the SURF program across additional cruise brands within the corporation's portfolio.
Konami Gaming President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Jingoli said the partnership highlights Carnival Corporation's commitment to improving the guest experience through new technology and entertainment options.
The rollout is part of a broader effort by Carnival Corporation to modernize its onboard casinos and create a more personalized experience for players. The company has indicated that additional cruise lines within its portfolio are expected to receive the Synkros system in the future.
