Marine Hotel Association Announces Scholarships for Talented Cruise Ship Chefs

The Marine Hotel Association’s new Culinary Advisory Council will be awarding scholarships to talented culinary professionals working aboard cruise ships in a first-of-its kind initiative. The not-for-profit MHA will host its annual Conference & Trade Show, taking place at Naples Grand Resort in Naples, Florida, April 2-4. 

AIDA Cruise & Help Collects 171,000 Euros In Donations For School Projects

On board the AIDA fleet, a traditional raffle is held every year for a good cause on Christmas and New Year cruises.

As part of the 71st annual Miss Universe Pageant, Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy awarded Miss Ukraine Victoria Apanasenko the "Spirit of Carnival" for embodying the company's values of fun, friendship, diversity, and inclusion. The Spirit of Carnival award was presented during the Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans. 

Aida Cruises crew members to get a 5% pay rise

Carnival Corporation’s German brand AIDA Cruises announced that the company will implement several benefits for the crew this year, including an increase of the salaries to all shipboard employees by 5%. The pay rise will be carried out in two steps, with the first increase of 2.5% in February 2023, and 2.5% in July 2023. In a letter sent to its crew members, Aida Cruises said that the company employs about 15.000 shipboard personnel, which will see a pay rise in the coming months.

World's first cruise ship with 5G network to be delivered in China

Carnival's Adora Cruises brand in China under CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping announced on Thursday that it will deliver the world's first 5G cruise ship later this year. 

In cooperation with China Telecom, the company is building the world's first 5G cruise ship, as well as a large Chinese-made cruise ship.
