This is not the first time World Central Kitchen has provided support to a coronavirus-stricken ship since the organization was engaged in food preparation and delivery to the cruise ship Diamond Princess in Yokohama, Japan. They were on the ground In Yokohama providing food until the last person was out of the ship, which says a lot for this wonderful team of amazing people.
Their assistance and experience from the previous cruise ship outbreak will play a key role in the fight against the Coronavirus disease. World Central Kitchen quick response to the crises is highly appreciated since every minute counts to prevent the spread of the virus among the passengers and crew.
On behalf of the crew and passengers on board Grand Princess, we like to send our deepest appreciation to each and every volunteer of World Central Kitchen. You guys don’t prepare food, you save lives.
