The British cruise line Marella Cruises previously known as Thomson Cruises, today will rename its cruise ship TUI Discovery 2 to Marella Discovery.
The vessel is currently at the port of Tenerife where the hull was repainted to match the cruise line’s new brand image. The baptism ceremony will be held tonight, at 9:00 pm, at the docking line in front of the cruise station. Marella Discovery 2 baptism ceremony will be executed by the members of the crew chosen as outstanding performers with their commitment to the company, together with the Captain Jason Ikaidis.
“Marella Discovery 2” is the company’s latest cruise ship and the first to be rebranded. Marella Cruises welcomed to its fleet TUI Discovery 2 in May 2017, when a christening ceremony was held in the Port of Malaga, after complete refurbishment and rebranding at the shipyards in Cadiz. The vessel which was previously sailing as Royal Caribbean Legend of the Seas reemerged as TUI Discovery 2.
