Before working on ships, I had never stepped foot on a cruise ship, or had any idea of what a cruise even was. I originally saw this opportunity as a way to do a bit of traveling for 6 months, and earn some money at the side. Little did I know that this experience was going to become my career, and change my life!

A recent study released by the US Royal Society Open Science conducted on a cruise ship claims that the usual sanitation measures such as cleaning and isolating people affected by Norovirus, don't do much to protect existing and oncoming passengers and crew on board. A computer-based model of a norovirus outbreak on a cruise ship suggests that the crew could be responsible for spreading the bug between voyages to new passengers.

Fort Street Tourism Village is proud to present the 1st ever Crew Member Lounge. FSTV decided to create a crew member lounge for the cruise ship crew. The area that is selected for the lounge is very spacious with panoramic view of the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The crew lounge is located in the center of Tourism Village but secluded from the hustle and bustle.
