Video: Passenger Dismissed from Independence of the Seas

A passenger on Royal Caribbean cruise ship Independence of the Seas was ordered to leave the vessel after an incident occurred onboard in one of the ships venues. According to Cris Gherman (the man who shot the videos bellow), he was attacked by another passenger without any reason. The other passenger says that he was provoked because Cris was filming him.

Celebrity Cruises Appoints Malala Yousafzai Godmother of Celebrity Edge

Celebrity Cruises has announced that the human rights activist and youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, will be the godmother of their latest cruise ship Celebrity Edge. The revolutionary new vessel currently under construction at the STX France shipyard will be christened in Fort Lauderdale in 2018.

Goodbye Legend of the Seas

After 22 years in service, Royal Caribbean cruise ship Legend of the Seas has retired. The vessel arrived at Navantia shipyard in Cadiz, Spain on March 26, where it will be refurbished and rebranded as TUI Discovery 2 for Thomson Cruises. With the Legend of the Seas, Royal Caribbean International said farewell from the oldest vessel of the popular Vision Class ship. 

Harmony of the Seas delivers pizza to a stranded sailboat

Harmony of the Seas responded to an SOS emergency call from the US Coast Guard as a sailboat was in need of an assistance. The captain of the world’s largest cruise ship Gus Andersson, divert the course and headed north to take part in the search and rescue operation as the weather was getting windier. When the cruise ship reached the GPS coordinates provided by the US Coast Guard, speed boat with food and fuel was sent to the sailboat in need.

Royal Caribbean cancels Turkey in 2017

Royal Caribbean has canceled all cruise ship calls in Turkey for this year. Due to unpredictability in the country Brilliance, Rhapsody and Jewel of the Seas will not sail to Ephesus, Kusadasi in 2017. Instead, this port will be replaced with alternative destinations in the region such as Rhodes, Chania, and Mykonos in Greece. Kusadasi was the only port of call in Turkey added to Royal Caribbean 2017 cruise schedules.
