New Face at the top of Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line is kicking off 2026 with a fresh face at the top. The company has officially named Marc Kazlauskas as its new President, taking over the helm on January 19, 2026.

Kazlauskas isn’t new to travel. In fact, he’s been in the industry for more than 30 years, holding big leadership roles at places like Avoya Travel, FROSCH, and Chase Travel Group. He knows the cruise world, the tour world and basically, he’s been everywhere guests book their vacations.

Norwegian is in a pretty exciting phase right now. Bookings are strong, new ships are coming, the brand is evolving, and destinations like Great Stirrup Cay are getting major upgrades. Bringing in Kazlauskas is clearly part of that bigger strategy.

NCLH President & CEO Harry Sommer welcomed the news, calling Kazlauskas a leader with “deep commercial expertise” and someone who genuinely understands how to elevate the guest experience. Translation: they’re betting on him to keep the momentum going.

Kazlauskas’ resume is basically a highlight reel of travel powerhouses. Before taking the top job at Avoya Travel, he led FROSCH, built up Insight Vacations in the U.S., and worked with several major operators and travel groups. He even started out in cruise travel at Orient Cruise Line — once part of the NCL family — so this move is a little bit of a homecoming.
