The MSC World America, the latest addition to MSC Cruises' fleet, will be officially delivered on March 27, 2025, at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.
This highly anticipated event will feature a full day of ceremonies, including celebrations for two additional MSC cruise ships under construction. Following the official handover in the morning, the MSC World America will depart the shipyard around 4:15 p.m., setting course for Miami, Florida, where it will be christened on April 9, 2025.
Built for the North American market, the MSC World America is an environmentally advanced cruise ship powered by LNG (liquefied natural gas), a step toward greener cruising. At 333 meters long, 66 meters wide, and 68 meters tall, this massive vessel can carry up to 6,764 passengers in 2,760 cabins, along with 2,126 crew members.
As the MSC World America prepares for its debut, the next ships in the series are already taking shape. The third World Class ship, MSC World Asia, is currently under construction and will be delivered in 2026. Meanwhile, the fourth ship in the series is officially kicking off production, with the first steel-cutting ceremony also set for March 27. A fifth ship is in the pipeline, pending confirmation.
With its impressive size, innovative features, and commitment to sustainable cruising, the MSC World America is set to make waves as it joins the MSC fleet, offering a next-level experience for travelers sailing from Miami.
