MSC Cruises is taking cruise ship entertainment into the future with the introduction of AI-powered robot dogs and humanoid robots, offering guests an entirely new kind of onboard experience starting in 2026.
The robotic dogs, developed by Unitree Robotics, will appear on select ships as part of a fleetwide entertainment refresh. The high-tech additions are designed to interact with guests through meet-and-greet sessions, robot-themed parades, and hands-on workshops where children and families can learn about robotics and emerging technology.
The robots are already being tested aboard MSC Bellissima in Asia and will also be featured on MSC Magnifica during part of the ship’s 2026 World Cruise. MSC Cruises says the goal is to create memorable experiences that bring together guests of all ages while introducing something completely new to cruise ship entertainment.
Beyond robotics, MSC Cruises is rolling out a wide range of new entertainment options across its fleet. These include interactive game shows like “Chart Toppers,” a music competition featuring hits from different eras, and “Quiz O’Clock,” a modern take on classic cruise trivia.
The cruise line is also refreshing theater productions, live music, and themed parties. Ships such as MSC Seaview, MSC Grandiosa, and MSC Seascape will introduce new shows, live bands, and immersive performances, while others will feature updated concerts, dance events, and family programming.
With robots, interactive shows, and upgraded performances, MSC Cruises is aiming to deliver a new generation of entertainment at sea—one that blends technology, creativity, and fun for guests of all ages.
