Fincantieri Launches LNG-Powered Mein Schiff Flow for TUI Cruises

Italian shipbuilding giant Fincantieri has marked a major milestone with the launch of Mein Schiff Flow, the second in a pair of LNG-powered cruise ships commissioned by German cruise operator TUI Cruises.

Following the February 2025 delivery of its sister ship Mein Schiff Relax, the new vessel continues the line’s expansion of next-generation ships focused on environmental sustainability and passenger comfort. Once completed, Mein Schiff Flow will boast a gross tonnage of 160,000 and accommodate up to 3,984 guests.

Passenger Comfort Meets Modern Design

Designed with a strong emphasis on guest experience, Mein Schiff Flow will feature 14 restaurants, 17 bars and lounges, a spa and wellness complex, and a dramatic infinity pool. A wide variety of accommodations will be available, including 11-square-meter single inside and outside cabins and suites ranging from 25 to 88 square meters in size.

Select suites and oceanview cabins will come with private balconies. The ship will also offer two luxurious six-person duplex suites, each spread over two decks and outfitted with private saunas and spacious living areas.

Green Technology at Sea

As part of TUI Cruises’ commitment to reducing emissions, Mein Schiff Flow will incorporate several key environmental technologies. These include a shore power connection system, EU Stage VI-compliant catalytic converters, and a waste heat recovery system designed to optimize energy efficiency.

Like its sister ship, the vessel will run on liquefied natural gas (LNG), significantly reducing its sulfur oxide, nitrogen oxide, and particulate emissions compared to traditional marine fuels.

Coming in 2026

Mein Schiff Flow is scheduled to enter service in mid-2026, expanding TUI Cruises' environmentally focused fleet and offering European guests another state-of-the-art cruising experience.
