Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure, was officially christened in a grand celebration in New York City.
The festivities kicked off with an electrifying performance by American singer Jordin Sparks, who sang the ship’s theme song, “Live the Adventure.” The event reached new heights with an aerial drone display, featuring a treasure chest that opened to reveal scenes from beloved Disney movies like Moana, Coco, Aladdin, and more. The spectacle culminated with a giant virtual champagne bottle, symbolizing the christening of the vessel.
Next month, the Disney Treasure will embark on its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral, Florida, to the Caribbean, officially becoming the sixth ship in Disney Cruise Line’s growing fleet.
At 221 feet tall and 1,119 feet long, the Treasure is a marvel of modern design, boasting the capacity to accommodate 4,000 passengers and 1,555 crew members. True to Disney’s legacy, the ship offers:
The Disney Treasure’s debut marks another step in Disney Cruise Line’s era of rapid expansion. Following the launch of the Disney Wish in 2022—Disney’s first new ship in a decade—the company is now doubling its fleet by 2031.
