Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line has announced that a second cruise ship will join its fleet in April 2018. Costa neoClassica, currently sailing under Costa Cruises banner will be transferred and renamed to Grand Classica, increasing the offer of two-night mini cruises to the Island of Grand Bahama.
Last year the former CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Kevin Sheehan has purchased the Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines. The company was founded in 2015, operating with a single ship, Grand Celebration which is currently chartered by the FEMA to house the rescue worker and members of the National Guard offering support to the US Virgin Islands affected by the hurricanes Irma and Maria.
After being the head of the company for seven years. Sheehan resigned from Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in January 2015 and become a president and CEO of Scientific Games Corp. “The purchase of Paradise Cruise Line is a family investment, “said Sheehan.
With the inclusion of Grand Classica, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line will become the only company to offer daily departures to the Bahamas from the port of Palm Beach. On 25 November the company signed a three-year agreement with the Bahamas to bring both of its ships to Grand Bahama.
