Before the start of the Caribbean season, two Costa cruise ships entered drydock in Marseille shipyards. In addition to routine maintenance, Costa Magica and Costa Pacifica will get significant improvements in catering and wellness facilities at the Chantier Naval de Marseille dock in Port of Marseille.
Both ships will benefit from major upgrades in public areas and will see some novelties for a cruise holiday yet more exciting and in line with Costa Cruises positioning in the market.
The two-week drydock on Costa Magica, is already completed on 25 November, has led to a substantial renovation of the wellness area and the dining venues aboard. Club Vicenza Restaurant and Buffet Buffet Bellagio layout was modified and upgrading of the galley area will allow the guests to the Suite Club Pearl Club members to fully enjoy the Club Restaurant, while the Buffet Bellagio Restaurant has been enhanced with a more efficient division of spaces. In the Spa renovation of wellness and gym spaces was completed and the introduction of a new sauna area with thalassotherapy and relaxation.
Costa Pacifica entered the dry dock on November 26, till December 7. The new Digital Signage will debut with high-resolution screens of different sizes and interactive screens with different features which will help guests navigate in the different areas on the ship.
Some of the latest highlights of Costa's offer include Pizzeria Pummid'Oro on Costa Pacifica and Amarillo Ice Cream on board both ships. In these new areas, guests can enjoy pizza and ice cream made with the highest quality ingredients.
