For the fourth consecutive year, Carnival Cruise Line returned to New York’s Times Square to celebrate New Year’s Eve, highlighting its dedication to military service members and their families.
During the iconic Ball Drop, Medal of Honor Recipients Jack Jacobs and Earl Plumlee, along with National Medal of Honor Museum CEO Chris Cassidy, joined Carnival senior vice-president Sarah Beth Reno in the festivities. Plumlee participated in the Ball's lighting test on the morning of December 31, while Jacobs helped flip the switch for the midnight countdown.
As the official cruise line sponsor of Times Square New Year’s Eve and a sponsor of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2025, Carnival showcased its commitment to honoring military heroes. Carnival also hosts military appreciation events on every sailing and supports multiple veterans' causes, including serving as a founding partner of the National Medal of Honor Museum, set to open in Arlington, TX, this March.
Carnival President Christine Duffy shared, “As America’s cruise line, we’re proud to honor military heroes in Times Square while looking ahead to a pivotal year with the opening of Celebration Key on Grand Bahama, offering our guests their own slice of paradise.”
