Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas Captain Claus Andre Anderson, released an interview regarding the Major storm that ship experienced on February 7, 2016. Here is a part of his interview
“I’ve been sailing thru the storms for entire career and what we have experienced yesterday that was something special. I have honestly not seen low pressure that was not forecasted, anything near that we experienced. At 6:30 in the morning yesterday, I came up to the bridge with all team members done all the weather predictions and everything and we did small alternation as a told you on the news speech where we needed to have 12 to 15 ft waves which is very durable for this ship to handle. Then I informed the Miami office about the weather and at 1 p.m. I came to the bridge and noticed the lashes of wind getting stronger quite stronger that it was forecasted and it just keep on going, and it developed so quickly.”
Captain Claus Andre Anderson is an experienced master, working for Royal Caribbean for seventeen years sailing all around the world from Alaska, North America, Mediterranean and Australia.
