After the extensive damage at the Freeport, Bahamas shipyard caused by the Hurricane Mathew, Royal Caribbean announced that the refurbishment of Adventure of the Seas will be delayed. Unfortunately the shipyard was not able to complete everything that was planned for the remodeling of the Adventure of the Seas as it was announced several weeks ago. However, the vessel will exit the shipyard as planed on November 14, 2016.
“Due to extensive damage incurred at the shipyard, as well as the global rerouting of cargo ships carrying equipment and materials, the original renovation plan has been modified. In an effort to create the least amount of disruption to our guests' vacation plans, the ship will still exit dry dock on November 14, as previously planned, to embark on its scheduled itineraries.” satates the email send to the Royal Caribbean travel agents.
The design and interior works have been completed, together with the remodeling of Boleros Latin Lounge and mini golf course on two floors. However, work will continue on double slides (Dual Racer), the FlowRider and Splashway Bay Water Park, expected to be ready for December 10. Chop's Grill will not open until early next year so it will be the Giovanni's Table who will offer the menu of Chop's Grill, while the Steakhouse will be ready in 2017.
Adventure of the Seas will resume his itineraries from the port of San Juan Puerto Rico , which has been its home port for more than a decade.
