The world's largest cruise ship, Symphony of the Seas, was delivered to Royal Caribbean at the STX France shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The latest Royal Caribbean International ship took three years to complete and enlisted the work of 4,700 shipbuilders and crew. Symphony of the Seas takes the title world’s largest cruise ship of her sister ship of the Oasis Class, Harmony of the Seas. The ship's scheduled maiden voyage will be a seven-night Mediterranean cruise, departing on April 7 from Barcelona, Spain. At the delivery ceremony was Royal Caribbean International president and CEO Michael Bayley, Royal Caribbean Cruises chairman and CEO Richard Fain, and STX France general director Laurent Castaing. Upon delivery a maritime ceremony followed by a celebration of the ship's instrumental project team, whose hard work and teamwork gave birth to the world's largest cruise ship.

SYMPHONY OF THE SEAS IN NUMBERS
The 25th Royal Caribbean Fleet, Symphony of the Seas, is Oasis-class vessel. The world’s largest cruise ship weighs 228,081 tons and is 72.5 meters high, equivalent to a 24-story building. In length, they are 362 meters, 60 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower, for example.
The ship has a total capacity of 8970 people, including crew. There are 2,759 cabins and 6870 in maximum occupancy. In addition, it has 2200 international crew members from 77 nationalities.
Symphony of the Seas offers more than 25 dining options with over 300 unique cuisine options available to guests, as well as 42 bars and lounges. The ship also stands out for having seven different neighborhoods, the largest offshore toboggan (called Ultimate Abyss) and numerous entertainment options such as 4D Cinema, ice skating rink, Broadway shows and ice shows. Radical activities are also contemplated, such as Flowrider surf simulators, water slides, trampoline and Olympic high jump platforms.
