Female Cruise Ship Captains

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Every ship has a captain, but on larger percentage on the ships in the cruise industry captains are of the male gender. It has been the truth as old as time, men overpopulate the majority of the higher paying positions around the world and this position has not been any different for as long as the cruise industry has existed. It seems that this old-fashioned way of thinking has been shifting lately since the cruise industry slowly is incorporating female captains into their fleets.

Submitted by kgnadmin on

There are three classes on board a cruise ship: officers, staff and crew. First two classes can eat in almost every dining venue on cruise ship. The third class –crew are allowed to eat only in crew mess, however this doesn’t mean that this class eats bad even if the food in crew mess is disaster. I believe that this class eats even better than officers and staff.

My Crew Roommates on Cruise Ship

Submitted by kgnadmin on

It's Saturday and I joined the cruise ship today. I am already exhausted from the trip. I look at around my crew cabin as I type this, staring at the four walls of this closet size space with four beds. Soon my cabin roommates will be off work so I am glad I was able to take a shower before they get back. Four beds, one bathroom, one tv, one other Canadian, a Philipino, and a Romanian Romanian. I can't remember their names yet. The Romanian roommate seemed stuck up as hell. In fact, so did most of the Romanian girls I met today on the ship.

Submitted by kgnadmin on

My name is Vlad and I want to tell you my story as part of Steiner team on cruise ship. which changed my world up side down in a positive way. Even though I was successful in my business running my own gym and Chinese restaurant back in Romania, it was not enough for me. Having the same routine day by day, I wanted to change something. So there I was sitting in my own gym and clicking page by page I saw a commercial saying: 'Are you personal trainer? Do you want to travel and make money at the same time? Apply your CV now at Steiner! ' And what happened next is the begging of my story.

Carnival’s Senior Cruise Director: We need to look closely at removing crew gratuities

Submitted by jozo on

I was at the Guest services Desk last night talking to a guest about Florence and overheard two guests removing their gratuities. I heard the GSA ask them both why and the answer “ personal reasons” baffled me. After they left I spoke with the guest services associate and took their cabin number and made a few calls.
