The countdown is underway for the official restart of cruises onboard Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas. The ship will set sail on July 10 from Limassol, Cyprus on a 7-day Greek Isles Cruise, visiting some of the iconic destinations in Greece such as Rhodes, Mykonos, Piraeus (Athens), Santorini, Chania, and Crete. The first passengers have already begun preparing for the voyage and all 800 crew members are fully vaccinated, while they have completed a 14-day quarantine and have already passed three PCR tests
Jewel of the Seas has a total capacity of 2,702 passengers, however, following the health and safety protocols occupancy will not exceed 70%.
Royal Caribbean International top priority is always the safety and health of passengers and crew. Therefore the company will implement more stringent measures, always keeping the overall experience at sea at a high level. The decision of Royal Caribbean to choose Cyprus as a home port is considered of utmost importance for the resumption of cruise tourism in the region, ranking Cyprus among the top tourist destinations.
This is the first time a Royal Caribbean ship has called Cyprus its homeport and will offer 7-night voyages through October when the vessel will set sail to Miami stating the Caribbean season.
