Azamara Journey and Quest – Two Sisters Meet in Barcelona

Submitted by kgnadmin on

Yesterday was a day of festivities and meeting old friends and colleagues for Azamara Club Cruises. The company’s two sister ships, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest have met in the Port of Barcelona. Two Captains, Carl Smith and Johannes Tysse, together with the two Hotel Directors - Heike Berdos and Ryszard Gusmann, two Cruise Directors - Tony Markey and Eric De Gray plus many of the crew meet after four years apart. The meeting of the sisters provided an excellent opportunity for the passengers and crew to capture amazing photos of the two ships together. Later in the evening booth ships sailed away together out of the port of Barcelona.

The first time these two ships meet was in Cartagena, Colombia in 2009, less than two years after the company was created. Since then the boutique cruise line has earned the reputation of 6-star excellence in service and food with genuine friendly crew and officers.

Recently refurbished Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest are Renaissance R-class vessels. They are perfect midsize ships, sailing all around the world (literary) in many ports which are not accessible for big size cruise ships. This year Azamara Club Cruises announced a record number of 250 cruise ports will be visited in 2019.
