MSC Cruises has announced a significant shift in its hiring process, centralizing crew recruitment operations to its Italian office in Sorrento. The move, aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency, means agencies in Brazil will no longer play a role in collecting resumes or managing job applications for positions aboard MSC vessels.
In an internal letter to crew members, MSC Crew Services confirmed that its Sorrento-based office will now exclusively handle documents from returning crew members seeking contract renewals, as well as resumes from new candidates. The company emphasized that no agencies in Brazil or elsewhere will act as intermediaries or share job positions for foreign-based ships.
The letter introduced the dedicated HR team overseeing the process, led by Giuseppe De Martino, South America Personnel HR Team Leader, alongside specialists Karina Lombardi, Daniela Iaccarino, and Alessandro Mirone.
MSC Cruises reassured its crew members that all job openings will remain accessible through their official career portal, careers.msccruises.com.
The company thanked its diverse and growing crew for their contributions, highlighting the importance of strengthening relationships amid fleet expansion.
The change reflects MSC's continued efforts to centralize its recruitment processes, ensuring better communication and efficiency as the demand for skilled crew members grows alongside its expanding global operations.
