In preparation for its new cruise season of year-round short cruises from Port Canaveral, the cruise ship Carnival Valor (2974 passengers) from Carnival Cruise Line undergone a major renovation involving both new innovations and popular venues on other cruise ships are added to the fleet, such as steakhouse, 600 new balcony cabins, Guy's Burger Joint, Red Frog Pub, SkyBox Sports Bar, Red Frog Rum Bar, Blue lguana Tequila Bar, Alchemy Bar and Cherry On Top. The new areas are added during the dry dock from April 23 until last Sunday, May 8th, 2016.

Carnival Valor is one of the four ships from Carnival Cruise Line sailing from Port Canaveral. Carnival Magic and Carnival Victory offer year-round departures from Port Canaveral and Carnival Sunshine makes seasonal voyages from this port. Together they account for 650,000 passengers per year. The Carnival Valor cruises from May to October 2016 a mix of 3- to 8-day cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean to include stops in Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Half Moon Cay, Nassau, Freeport, San Juan, St. Kitts, St. Maarten, Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire.
